LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident in which a car overturned in front of a Jefferson County Public Schools bus.
According to MetroSafe, the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on northbound I-65 at the ramp to the Watterson Expressway (I-264).
MetroSafe said the bus, JCPS #0326, made minor contact with the overturned vehicle. Ben Jackey, a JCPS spokesperson, said the car flipped over in front of the bus and the bus could not avoid making contact with it. Jackey described the contact with the vehicle as a tap.
The bus was carrying 40 students from Ramsey Middle School. Jackey said no one on the bus was injured. Injuries to those in the overturned car is unknown.
