JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) – A man was killed early Saturday morning when the golf cart his friend was driving drunk overturned, according to Jeffersonville Police.

Investigators said Chad Anderson, 32, was ejected from the golf cart when the driver, Matthew Myers, made a hard turn.

Myers is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury or death.

Anderson is the son-in-law of Major Chuck Adams, Public Information Officer with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Adams said Anderson and Myers were childhood friends who loved each other.
