LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A local animal organization is hoping to find a loving home for a cat after an alleged animal cruelty case.

A stray cat, named Bob, lived at UPS Worldport on Outer Loop for about a year.

According to Cara Chesser, an Alley Cat Advocate, around three weeks ago a Good Samaritan found him in the parking lot of the industrial area covered in dirt with his tail severed off.

Bob was taken to the Shamrock Foundation to receive the much needed surgery on his injured tail.

Chesser said due to the clean cut on Bob's tail she does not believe his injury was an accident.

Bob is now up for adoption for and Chesser said she hopes he finds a loving home.
