FOX19 Investigates: Background of former NKU AD Scott Eaton

FOX19 is investigating former NKU Athletic Director Scott Eaton's background in education following allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with a former student and NKU employees as well as new allegations of financial misconduct.

The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District in Massachusetts confirmed Wednesday that Eaton resigned from his former position in the district but would not comment on the nature of that resignation.

According to Eaton's LinkedIn page he worked at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School as Director of Athletics from 1991-1997.

FOX19 made a public records request for district documents referencing Scott Eaton, but thus far have not received a response.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has confirmed an individual named Scott Eaton is in their database. They say that professional teaching license expired in 1999. As a matter of policy, the department neither confirms nor denies any current or former investigations unless action is taken.

According to the Massachusetts Basketball Coaches Association website, Scott Eaton is the organization's Graphic Communications Director and a former President of the MBCA. Eaton was recognized with the Leo Miller Award in 2006.

While Eaton's LinkedIn page states he worked for Brown University as an assistant men's basketball coach from 1995 to 1998, the university's only has records of a Scott Eaton working in a temporary staff position from roughly August of 1997 through to August of the following year.

FOX19 did reach out to Eaton's lawyer for comment on his time in Massachusetts, but Ben Dusing says they have no comment at this time.
