UofL's Hancock and Van Treese shave for charity

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Final Four Most Outstanding Player Luke Hancock had not shaved since the end of the regular season. The Cards reeled off 10 straight wins while he shunned the razor, but on Wednesday he shaved off his beard for charity.

Hancock and Cards teammate Stephan Van Treese joined UofL fans at the Red Barn on campus at an event that raised over $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.

"It feels great, I don't have to itch it anymore, it's definitely a lot better than it was," Hancock said. The idea came from Mike Marra after some of the players attended a "Relay for Life" event on campus.

"The money that we've raised so far is crazy to me," Van Treese said. "It makes me feel privileged that I could put a word out there in the community and everyone supports us right back, I mean, it's awesome."
