LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Finals of the Stock Yards Bank Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest finished up Tuesday evening at Seneca Golf Course.

Unfortunately, the $1 million prize is still up for grabs after 24 straight years of misery for some of Kentucky's best amateur golfers. Michael Passafiume, of Louisville, came closest to the pin, hitting his tee shot 1 foot, 10 inches from the cup.

Passafiume won a $5,000 first prize. "My ultimate goal was to have fun," said Passafiume. "Going early definitely made it easier, because I had less to compete with. I couldn't see that far to the hole. By the reactions, I expected to place, but didn't expect to be the winner at all."

A crowd of more than 300 people turned out for the event this year. Stock Yards Bank and Trust Company is the newest sponsor of this Derby event.

Next year will be the 25th year for the event and maybe the elusive million dollar prize will finally be claimed.
