LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman accused of stealing over 1,500 lottery tickets and causing thousands of dollars in damage remains on the run.

Louisville Metro Police released surveillance video of the woman cashing out the tickets at Top Notch grocery store. Just hours before on April 16 at 3:30 a.m., detectives say the woman ran a red Monte Carlo into the glass window of Next Door Convenience Store and stole the tickets.

"I believe she received less than $200 on winning tickets," said Det. Justin Aubrey.

Police say the woman caused $4,000 worth of damage to the store.

In addition to burglary, once caught she will be charged with unlawful access to a computer. Police said 200 tickets were cashed. The whereabouts of the others are unknown.

According to Aubrey, "When she went in she did not scratch off the actual tickets as if you're playing the lottery, she basically just scratched off the bar code," to see which tickets were winners.
