LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Both Louisville (17-19) and Buffalo (22-12) hit the ball well Saturday, but it was the Bisons who held the lead in the end, winning 10-7. Louisville out hit Buffalo 13-12, but the Bisons used five homeruns to outscore the Bats. The two teams battled back and forth, with Buffalo ultimately holding the lead after a 5-run fifth.
It was a rough day to be a pitcher at Louisville Slugger Field. Bats starter Chad Reineke (L, 3-2) picked up his second loss of the year, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing seven earned runs on as many hits. Louisville relievers Curtis Partch and Kevin Whelan combined to allow one run each off five hits total
