LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Multi-million dollar dreams are running through a lot of heads - $600 million dollars worth of them. The Powerball jackpot Friday climbed to the highest ever in U.S. history, second highest ever in the world.
There are a lot of ways people try to boost their odds including shopping at the store that a WAVE 3 News Troubleshooter investigation found to be Louisville's winningest.
Jim Dandy Food Mart on Poplar Level Road in Newburg sold more winning tickets than any other store in Louisville within the last year. That's boosted by the store being in the top three in terms of lotto sales in Louisville. Still, Jim Dandy has never sold a winning Powerball ticket. Customers and employees of the store hope to change that this weekend.
