LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The name of the woman who was shot and killed at her home in Shively has been identified.

According to the Jefferson County coroner's office, Gloria Ross, 48, was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m. Thursday after suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the 3300 block of FernHeather Drive.

Shively Police Chief Kevin Higdon said Ross' family members went over to her house after they could not get in touch with her. That is when they discovered the body and called 911. Higdon said her death is being considered a homicide.

On Friday, family and friends mourned at the same house where their loved ones body was found. Family members said they believe her death may have been the result of a domestic dispute.

Shively police have not released the name of a suspect in the case.
