LAUREL COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A woman allegedly went to extreme lengths to let out her neighbor's dogs.

According to Laurel Sheriff's Senior Sgt Greg Poynter, at 4:50 p.m. Friday deputies received a call a woman had broken into a home on Chaney Ridge Road.

Deputies arrested Regina Napier, 47, in connection to the crime. Poynter said Napier was highly intoxicated on controlled substances and used a blanket to breakout the glass on her neighbor's front door. She then went inside the home and let two small dogs out of the house.

When questioned about the incident Poynter said Napier told him she had broken into the home to let the dogs out.

Napier is charged with burglary and public intoxication.
