LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two men killed in separate vehiclecrashes in Louisville on Sunday have been identified.

A representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s Officesaid Michael Shea, 46, of Greenwood, IN died of multiple blunt force injuries at2:07 p.m. Sunday at University of Louisville Hospital.

Police said Shea had been involved in an accident onInterstate 64 at the Watterson Expressway just after 1:30 p.m. When he got outof his Ford Explorer to take a look at the damage to his vehicle, a blackpickup truck slammed into the Suzuki that had hit Shea, pinning Shea between theSuzuki and his Explorer.

Around 5 p.m. Sunday, motorcyclist Dwain Robert Rice, 33, ofGlendale Road in Louisville hit a Toyota RAV4 at Hurstbourne Parkway nearBardstown Road. Investigators said Rice was traveling between 85 and 90 milesper hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone and tried to avoid the Toyota, but he wasunable to. Rice was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 5:51 p.m.

The coroner’s office said Rice was wearing a helmet and diedof multiple blunt force injuries.
