LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -
A Warren County government office is evacuated after a suspicious powder is found in a letter.
The Health and Human Services Center building on S. East Street in Lebanon was evacuated just after 11 a.m. on Monday.
EMA tells FOX19 that one person opened an envelope with the powder inside and had a reaction to it. She told emergency crews that it felt like her hands were burning.
Two others took her to the restroom to help. All three people were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Investigators say the envelope was return paperwork that was sent to the center.
Police say that HAZMAT crews and the FBI were called to investigate the powder. The powder has been submitted for laboratory analysis
The street was blocked off while the investigation was taking place and the building will be closed the rest of the day but they plan on opening back up on Tuesday.
The building houses the Health Department, Children's Services and some other government offices.
