LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Chinese-born Canadian citizen is being held for stalking the family of Academy Award-winning actress and Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence.
The Indian Hills Police Department said Han Cong Zhao contacted the brother of Jennifer Lawrence more than 200 times and left a threatening voice mail message.
During a recent court appearance, Jefferson District Court Judge Annette Karem ordered Zhao to have no contact with the Lawrence family.
"I want to make sure you understand what no contact means," Karem told Zhao. "No e-mails, voicemails, no phone calls, no letters – none. No letters, no flowers - nothing. Twitter – you stay off Facebook, Twitter, you don't post anything, you don't send any messages, you don't send anything through anyone. Alright? No contact means you absolutely stay away."
Zhao was ordered to sign a no contact order. He remains at Louisville Metro Corrections under a hold for U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
