HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A woman's body was found Wednesday morning along a stretch of northbound Interstate 65 in Hardin County, according to Kentucky State Police, and troopers suspect foul play.

A mowing crew discovered the body around 9:45 a.m. in a grassy area near mile marker 99 south of Highway 313/Joe Prather Highway.

KSP investigators said the body showed obvious signs of trauma and had been wrapped in items they did not identify. Troopers are checking missing persons reports to see if there's a match.

One northbound lane of I-65 traffic was expected to be closed for several hours while police investigate.
