Reward in Bardstown officers death continues to rise

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) - The person responsible for the murder of a Bardstown police officer remains at large.

Officer Jason Ellis was shot and killed on May 25 when he stopped to clear debris from a ramp on the Bluegrass Parkway.

Ellis was laid to rest with full honors on Thursday.

According to Master Trooper Norman Chaffins the reward for information leading to an arrest in Ellis' murder is now around $100,000.
