LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Murder and DUI charges were filed against a driver after a two-vehicle crash late Friday night that killed a second driver.
Louisville Metro Police said the driver of a gold Mazda was northbound in the 7100 block of Manslick Road when he crossed the center line and hit a black Chrysler head on. The driver of the Chrysler, Robin Jent, 57, was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where she died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Jim Wesley.
The driver of the Mazda, Anthony Smiley, 24, was arrested at the scene.
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
