LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The death penalty is off the table for a man accused of killing a Sullivan University student and placing his body in a dumpster.
Prosecutors working the case against Gregory O'Bryan confirmed the decision Wednesday.
O'Bryan is charged with the murder of Andrew Compton.
Investigators said the two met on Craigslist to have sex in the fall of 2010 when Compton was a freshman at Sullivan.
Compton's body has never been found.
O'Bryan's trial is scheduled to begin in July.
