The 24th annual Joe Nuxhall Memorial Scholarship Golf Open was held Thursday in Hamilton.
FOX19's Katy Morgan, Cincinnati Reds broadcasters Marty Brennaman and Chris Welsh and Bengals Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz all took part in the event, located at Elks Country Club.
Before teeing off, Brennaman spoke about his years spent with Joe Nuxhall on the Reds radio team.
"I had a tremendous run with him. When I go out and speak today, people would rather hear me tell stories of the 31 years that he and I worked together than anything else. 'This ball club is secondary. Every club is secondary. Tell us stories of you and Joe', and I got a million of them," Brennaman joked. "Some that can be told publicly, and some that can't."
The annual outing raises $28,000 in scholarship funds, which is then given to 14 different high schools in Butler County.
