GE and University of Kentucky enter master agreement

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The University of Kentucky and GE Appliances are teaming up to collaborate on research projects that will bring new innovations in the field of major appliances.

The announcement was made Thursday morning at Appliance Park.

The agreement specifies terms for licensing and sharing of jointly developed intellectual property.

Kevin Nolan, VP of GE, says, "We'll be working on advanced technologies. Things that will help the performance of the water heaters and the different products we make."

The collaboration will provide an opportunity for students to work on projects with real world applications in the industry.
