ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) – A massive heart attack has been listed as the cause of death for Elizabethtown Mayor Tim Walker.
Walker, 54, was pronounced dead at 5:33 a.m. Friday at Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was taken after being stricken at his home.
After serving as a member of the city council for 13 years, Walker was elected as mayor in November 2010. In addition to his elected positions, Walker had served the city as a firefighter for seven years.
Walker is survived by his mother, his wife, six children and eight grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Brown Funeral Home. Details have yet to be announced.
