LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A family is now homeless after a fire ripped through their house.

Fire crews from the Camp Taylor Fire Department were called to the home, on Hikes Lane off of Goldsmith Lane, at 8:18 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, firefighters found a bedroom engulfed in flames. The fire was put out but the back of the home was a complete loss.

The family will have to stay with relatives for a while. No one was injured, though. Linda Thompson, the owner of the house, is just thankful it was not worse. "I am safe and all the boys are safe and that's really all that matters," she said.

Thompson believes it may have been intentionally set. "I have a good idea about what happened," she said.

Fire officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
