An 18-year-old from Holyoke was found dead in the Connecticut River on Monday night.
According to Police, the Holyoke Police Department received a call that a person had fallen into the River and was not resurfacing.
Multiple units responded to the call including, Holyoke Police Department, Holyoke Fire Department, and South Hadley Fire Department.
The units launched boats from docks across the way in South Hadley to search the River that had was dangerously high and rough due to the recent storm.
After searching for nearly two hours, they found the male and transported him to the Holyoke Hospital was he was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Jonathan Ramos, 18, of Holyoke.
According to witnesses, Ramos slipped off the rock and fell into the water below, taken under by a current.
