Police searching for armed robber

NEW ABANY, IN (WAVE) - A man who covered his face with a green bandana is accused of robbing at least two convenience stores.

According to New Albany Police Captain Ken Fudge, on Sunday the man entered a gas station located on West 5th and Spring Streets. The man went behind the counter armed with a knife and demanded money from the cashier. Fudge said the man was wearing a red hoodie and green bandana at the time of the robbery.

On Monday, police said the same man was wearing the red hoodie inside out when he robbed the BP located in the 2200 block of Spring Street. Police said he also had a knife and again went behind the counter and demanded money from the clerk.

According to Fudge, Clarksville police, reported a similar incident with a man matching the same description.

The man is described as being around 5'8'' tall with a medium build.
