LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Three people have died and fourth is being treated at a hospital after a shooting at condominium complex which police say was domestic related.

According to MetroSafe, the shooting was reported at 4:27 p.m. Wednesday in the Lakeview condominium complex in the 1900 block of Gardiner Lane, next to the Alpine Ice Rink. Dwight Mitchell, a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson, said once officers got there they found the four victims.

Mitchell said the victims killed are a juvenile female, a 38-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man. According to Mitchell, the suspect is believed to be one of the dead.

The surviving victim is a woman in her 60's. She is being treated at University Hospital for injuries Mitchell described as life-threatening.

The names of those involved have not been released.

Alex Hall who lives at the condo building was at the pool at the time and told WAVE 3's Connie Leonard,  that a young boy and his uncle came running through the pool area yelling "they shot my mom." At first, the girl said they didn't know if the boy was joking. Quickly, they realized he was serious.

Lifeguard Alex Stengel called 911. Stengel explained, "When somebody yells shots have been fired through a pool area with children in the water and moms right there eating lunch you are in shock, it was just kind of surreal."

Many residents who were home at the time, along with others coming home from a day at work were trying to learn what happened and who was involved.
