SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A two-vehicle injury accident in Sylvania Township has blocked the exit ramp from Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23 southbound to Central Avenue.

Officials say two vehicles may have been competing to use the ramp and one eventually hit the other, causing it to flip on the ramp. The vehicle that caused the crash ended up in the grass. As a result, traffic has been blocked.

One person from each vehicle was taken to the hospital. The person in the car that rolled over had to be cut out of the vehicle. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Traffic has been stopped for drivers getting on and off at Central Avenue so emergency crews can clean up the scene. The area is expected to be clear by 1:30 p.m.

The area has been reopened, but traffic is slow. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
