The incident happened Saturday afternoon at Lakeside Swim Club on Trevilian Way.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man found submerged in a pool at Lakeside Swim Club on Saturday died of heart disease complicated by drowning, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Christopher Finchum, 42, of Pittsboro, IN had been swimming laps in the pool on Trevilian Way before a lifeguard noticed him at the bottom of the pool just before 5 p.m. Saturday. The lifeguard pulled Finchum out of the water and performed CPR until an ambulance arrived. Finchum was pronounced dead at Norton Audubon Hospital.
An autopsy revealed Finchum suffered some type of cardiac event in the water and drowned.
