Police: Woman racked up debt under family member's name

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) - A woman is accused of stealing the identity of friends and family and using them to ring up thousands of dollars in debt.

Bardstown police said Amanda Swift got a driver's license made with a family member's name on it, then took out loans and credit cards with the license.

Police said Swift racked up around $7,000 worth of expenses.

Investigators also found Swift pawned $1,000 worth of electronics and jewelry from a friend.
