Timeline: I-75/475 construction

This is a three-year project in its final season of construction.  This season, crews are doing work on the interchange ramps at the I-75/475 Interchange, they're widening I-475 from Monroe St. to I-75, and they're doing bridge work on the new ProMedical Parkway interchange.

  • July 2010 - project started

  •  

  • Summer 2010 - ramp from Monroe Street to EB I-475 closed (still closed)

  •  

  • July 2012 - Jackman Road exit closed permanently.

  •  

  • July 2012 - Douglas Road ramp re-opens


  •  

  • Right now - crews are doing bridge work, focusing on the I-475 bridges over Central Avenue and Upton. They're also working on the bridges on Sherbrook Drive, ProMedica Parkway, and the pedestrian bridge.

  • This fall -ODOT expects those bridges to open.

  •  


  • Friday night 10pm, June 28 to Saturday morning 5am, June 19 - work on the 475 eastbound ramp to NB 75; the ramp will close

  •  


  • This fall - ODOT plans to focus on opening the newly-widened mainline I-475 and the interchange ramps.

  •  
    • November - ODOT hopes to have new interchange ramps open.

    •  

    • End of the calendar year - ODOT plans to wrap up the entire project.
