The best in beach volleyball will make it to the Tri-state this summer.
Nine Olympians and many other beach volleyball pros will be competing in the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Cincinnati Open on Labor Day weekend.
The tournament will take place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason. Olympic gold medallists Kerri Walsh Jennings, Todd Rogers, and Phil Dalhausser will be among the many professional players competing.
Cincinnati will be the third stop of seven cities on the AVP's 2013 tournament schedule. The tournament will feature a field of 16 two-player men's teams and 16 two-player women's teams.
A qualifying tournament for local volleyball players will be held on August 30, for all those interested in competing in the tournament.
Tickets range from $20 to $115 for the AVP Cincinnati Open. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday.
