Woman found on side of I-65 identified

HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - The body of a woman found off of Interstate 65 in Hardin County has been identified.

Wednesday the Nashville, Tennessee Police Department confirmed Madiha E. Roshdy, 27, of Nashville, TN, was found by a mowing crew on May 29, near mile marker 99.

Nashville Metro homicide detectives believe Roshdy was murdered in her Nashville apartment she lived in with her husband, Alaa Youssef, 39, and two young daughters, then dumped on the side of the interstate a few days before her body was discovered.

When her body was discovered, Kentucky State Police said the woman's body showed obvious signs of trauma. Nashville police confirmed Roshdy suffered blunt force trauma to her head.

Roshdy was reported as a missing person on June 20 by a friend who learned her family members in Egypt were concerned for her welfare. 

According to police, Youssef, who worked for Tyson Foods in Shelbyville, TN, flew out of Nashville with the couple's two daughters on June 7. They arrived in Cairo, Egypt, on June 8. 

Youssef, is considered to be a suspect in Roshdy's death and is wanted for questioning.
