Red Stag BBQ Onions

3 large onions- cut into ¼ inch rings

Butter- 2tbls

Oil-3tbls

Jim Beam® Red Stag – 2cup

Favorite BBQ sauce – 3cup

Salt and pepper to taste

 

  • Place a large deep skillet on a med high heat, let heat for a minute or so.  
  • Add oil and butter,  once butter has melted add onions.  
  • Sauté onions till tender and translucent,  remove pan from heat and add red stag,  wait for 1 minute and place skillet back on med heat,  reduce red stag and onion  mixture by ¾ and then add barbeque sauce.  
  • Bring to a boil stirring constantly and reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5-8 minutes.  
  • Add salt and pepper.
