What does it say about where our country is headed when just 60% of people under age 23 want to have a job one day with greater responsibility? Twenty years ago that number was 80%.
Is it a good thing that more people between the ages of 18 and 29 are living with their parents than with a spouse?
Is it a good thing that in those homes are on average, 85 pictures of themselves and their pets?
The children of baby boomers who are shaping our future are, some might say, full of themselves.
Will this lead to an entitlement mentality that seems the polar opposite of the mentality of their grandparents?
Millennials interact most of the day through a screen. By being afraid to miss out on something, they tend to miss out on a lot. By being preoccupied with friend and follower numbers they sometimes miss out on the here and now.
They are more accepting and more informed, but not more active.
Let's continue to hug them, but push harder to enlighten them that in serving others well, they will be served best.
