Six Flags hosts singing contest for kids

Six Flags New England hosted Kidz Star USA auditions on Saturday afternoon, which was part of a national talent search that showcases undiscovered young vocalists.

Dozens of local kids lined up for the chance at stardom.

Those who CBS 3 spoke with hoped to have some big dreams filled.

"It's amazing," said Madison Hartling, a 12-year-old from Chicopee. "I love it. It's like I am in a whole other world."

"I am hoping to win, to be on Kids Bop, because it's my dream to be famous," said Kailanna Gonzalez, an 8-year-old from Chicopee. 

Based on the auditions across the country, semi-finalists will be chosen for trip to Los Angeles.

Once there, they will compete for a chance to win a recording contract with RCA Records.
