Police: Hotel employee stuck with heroin needle

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Jeffersontown hotel employee was stuck with a heroin needle after attempting to change the trash in one of the rooms, according to police.

A report filed by Jeffersontown police stated the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police eventually made contact with the previous occupant of that hotel room, Jessica Baker.

The report said Baker confessed to having put her needle in the trash can and then gave the police officer consent to search her property. The officer found numerous items of drug paraphernalia and vials containing crack cocaine.

Baker also claimed she had more items in a safe, but didn't know where the key was. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.
