LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The annual Louisville Blues & Barbecue Festival returns to the Louisville Water Tower this year. Friday, July 19-Sunday, July 21 will heat up the summer for the 16th consecutive year and mixes the unique sounds and great tastes of the south's finest blues and barbecue.
This annual festival provides the opportunity to purchase various styles of barbecue from local & regional barbecue joints all at one location. There will also be a variety of traditional fair foods. Headlining the Louisville Blues & Barbecue Festival this year is Claudette King, daughter of blues legend B.B. King. Claudette takes the stage Friday at 9:30pm. On Saturday, the festival is excited to present performances from such acts as the Kentucky Headhunters, The Stray Cat Blues Band and many others.
All the fun begins on Friday, July 19th from 5pm - 11:30pm and continues on Saturday, July 20th from 4pm – 11:30pm. The festival runs on Sunday, July 21st from 1pm – 7pm. Festival admission is $8 to $11. Parking is free! Lawn chairs and blankets are always welcome.
