One killed, 1 injured in Sunday evening shooting

Longview Police worked the scene of a fatal shooting Sunday evening.

This shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. on Bonner and Cotton streets.

When officers arrived they found a black male deceased inside the home. A second victim, a female, was located inside the home.

She was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

Police say several shell casings were found at the scene, indicating that as many as 30 shots were fired.
