AMBERLEY VILLAGE, OH (FOX19) -
A man has been sentenced for a home invasion that occurred in Amberley Village nearly a year ago.
Raj Houston, 21, was sentenced to 65 years in prison. He was convicted by jury last month on charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, robbery, aggravated burglary, theft and weapons under disability.
Houston and a co-defendant, Darian Lawrence, entered a home in the 7500 block of Fair Oaks Drive on July 11, 2012. Police say they forced the 80-year-old male resident to drive to an ATM to get money out. The other suspect stayed at the home with a 78-year-old female victim.
Lawrence was sentenced late last year to 18 years in prison.
Authorities say Lawrence was wearing a bracelet with a Bible verse reference that left an imprint in the SUV door's molding. That helped link the pair to the robbery.
Police say Houston and Lawrence met while they were incarcerated together in various Juvenile Detention facilities over a period of two years.
