Woman charged with murder taught in childhood education program

GUSTON, KY (WAVE) – A woman charged with murdering her husband worked with children as a teacher in an early childhood education program.

According to Mandy Simpson with Jefferson County Public Schools, Anne Reardon was hired by JCPS on July 1, 2006. Her most recent position was as a resource teacher in the Early Childhood Department at Western High School.

According to Kentucky State Police, Reardon shot her husband, Daniel Reardon, 45, around 10:50 p.m. on July 4 at a home in the 2600 block of Stith Valley Road.

Daniel Reardon was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anne Reardon is charged with murder. She is scheduled to be in court on July 9.
