Victim of Dixdale Ave. shooting identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police are continuing their search for a killer after a deadly shooting Wednesday morning in the in the Algonquin neighborhood.

Around 4:45 a.m., MetroSafe received an emergency call from a home along Dixdale Avenue off of Dixie Highway and Algonquin Parkway reporting the shooting.

The victim, Terrance Yancey, 31, died from multiple gunshot wounds outside of his home. LMPD said multiple shots were fired in the street.

A neighbor who wanted to stay anonymous said she heard the whole thing.

"All I heard was a bunch of shooting," said the neighbor. "First I thought it was like a blowout in a car and then it just kept going. They left a gun in front of my bedroom window."

Police said they have no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD Crime Tip Line at 574-LMPD (5673).  All calls are anonymous.
