LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Wednesday's storms caused minor damage to two UPS aircraft parked at Louisville International Airport.
According to Mike Mangeot of UPS Communications, a Boeing 767 sustained damage believed to be caused by a container that nudged the plane. Mangeot said the aircraft has been repaired and returned to service.
The second aircraft, a MD-11, was damaged when the crew boarding stairs were blown and punctured the fuselage. That plane will need more extensive repairs and will be out of service at least one day.
