Suspect arrested in Madison stabbing

MADISON, IN (WAVE) – One man is under arrest and another is being treated after a stabbing early July 11 in Madison, Indiana.

According to Madison Police, officers were sent to a convenience store around 12:25 a.m. after the clerk reported the victim of a stabbing was there. When officers arrived, they found Robert Davis with stab wounds to his back and one arm. Davis, 25, told police he was stabbed at the Englewood Motel by Dale Lisby.

At the motel, officers found Lisby, 31, and his wife Leah Lisby, 28. Dale Lisby was still holding the knife, but dropped it with order to by police. Lisby placed under arrest and charged with aggravated battery and battery causing serious bodily injury.

During their investigation, Madison police learned the Lisbys were separated and Leah Lisby was now seeing Davis.

Davis was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of three stab wounds to his left arm and two to his back. He was listed in serious, but stable condition.

Dale Lisby is being held in the Jefferson County, Indiana jail while awaiting his initial court appearance.
