Hard Rock Cafe shows off never-seen-before memorabilia

Music lovers will have a chance to see some rare items at the Hard Rock Cafe over the next few days.

The restaurant in downtown Phoenix is hosting the Treasure of Hard Rock Tour, which will show off memorabilia like the gown Shakira wore on stage in 2006 and John Lennon's hand-written lyrics to the Beatles song, Help.

Visitors can check out two exhibits. The first is called "Gone Too Soon" and highlights artists, such as Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendricks and Amy Winehouse.

"Music Gives Back" is the second exhibit, which focuses on artists that have worked with the Hard Rock Cafe to raise money for charity.

Steven Tyler's skin-tight, black and white striped stage-worn outfit will be on display, along with iconic items from Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton and Shakira.

Visitors can also see a dress worn by Amy Winehouse during the Nelson Mandela tribute concert or 90s stage outfit worn by Whitney Houston.

"Personal favorites happen to be a wallet of Buddy Holly's that was recovered in the plane crash that ultimately took his life. And my personal favorite is a Pete Townsend guitar, which is the second piece of memorabilia ever donated to the Hard Rock Cafe," said Rochelle Barton from Hard Rock Cafe.

The items will be on display through July 16.
