BULLITT COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A man driving a vehicle marked U.S. mail was carrying more than letters, according to investigators.

The Bullitt County Sheriff's Office High Intensity Drug Enforcement Unit said Joseph Muller, of Mount Washington, arranged a meeting with one of their informants to purchase oxycontin on Friday.

Muller arrived at the meeting in his vehicle marked U.S. Mail.

After detective detained Muller he gave them permission to search his vehicle where they discovered pipes and marijuana stashed between pieces of mail.

According to United States Postal Service spokesperson David Walton, Muller is a U.S. postal carrier in Mount Washington, but not an actual postal employee.

Muller was booked into the Bullitt County Detention Center.
