Clouds and rain will lead towards cooler temperatures

A record high temperature was tied yesterday in Tyler. But this record was for the coolest high on that date, 81 degrees.

The clouds and scattered showers will hang around for another 48 hours keeping temperatures below normal during this time. The culprit for the clouds and showers was an area of low pressure in the mid levels of the atmosphere. This low pressure will drift west throughout the day and head towards the Four Corners region of the country by the end of the week.

Unfortunately this will bring an end to the wide spreads rain and cooler temperatures as we head towards the weekend.  Highs in Saturday and Sunday will be summerlike again with temperatures at least reaching the middle 90s, possibly hotter.
