LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Friends and family members of three shooting victims gathered one year after their deaths on the Big Four Bridge.

According to police, on July 15, 2011, Sade Goldsmith and her boys, John, 6, and JonTee, 5, were murdered in their Pleasure Ridge Park home.

On Monday night family members carried blue and purple balloons across the bridge in memory of the three they lost.

Donna Goldsmith, Sade's Mother, explained, "We were always here at the waterfront with the boys. And we always talked about walking across. So I just wanted to do this, this day here for that memory."

Sade Goldsmith's estranged husband and father of her two children, John Devine, is charged with their murders. Devine is still awaiting trial.
