LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man is facing charges after his suspicious behavior drew the attention of a Louisville Metro police officer.

The arrest report states the officer saw Shane Black, 37, walking away from the sign at Pleasure Ridge Park High School in the 5900 block of Greenwood Road around 11:50 p.m. July 15. When Black saw the police car, the officer said Black went back to the sign, placed a bag that he had been holding in the flower bed and sat down next to it.

While Black was being questioned by the officer it was learned there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. When police searched the bag, which Black claimed was not his, they found a hammer, pry bar, two pairs of wire snips and 3' to 4' of copper.

Police said Black would not tell them where he got the copper, but officers noted there is plenty of construction taking place at the school.

Black was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on charges of criminal trespassing and possession of burglary tools.
