Man arranges arrest to propose to girlfriend

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Talk about a wild marriage proposal. Benjamin Vienneau had his girlfriend "fake" arrested in order to pop the big question.

Vienneau conspired with a police officer to pull over his girlfriend.

She was then told she owed 2-thousand dollars in fines, or she would face 30 days in jail.

After she found out it was arranged, she didn't smack him. Instead, she said yes.

The whole prank was actually part of a radio contest which is giving away 20-thousand dollars to whoever comes up with the most creative marriage proposal.

The couple is planning to get married sometime next year.
