LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky guards Jarrod Polson and Twany Beckham have earned all-star recognition for their academic performances.
Both Wildcats were named Wednesday to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Honors Court with cumulative grade point averages of 3.2 or higher during the school year.
Polson graduated in May with a degree in business-finance and 3.457 GPA but is returning for his senior season after averaging a career-best 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in 33 contests.
Beckham compiled a 3.391 GPA while earning a communications degree. The Mississippi State transfer twice made the Southeastern Conference's academic honor roll and was a finalist for the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar award.
They were two of 12 Wildcats with GPAs of at least 3.0 this spring.
