LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A wallet stolen from church during services, and a man is accused of putting a 3-year-old up to doing it.

Allen Hamilton was arrested Tuesday and faces charges of burglary and unlawful transaction with a minor. He entered a not guilty plea Wednesday morning in court.

Police say he drove the getaway car after a child and mother stole a wallet from an office at the Faith Community Church on Shelbyville Road.

A warrant and citation for Hamilton's arrest do not make the identity of the child's mother, who is also charged, immediately clear nor does it explicitly say when the alleged theft happened.

The warrant does mention the possibility of similar crimes at other churches being related to this one. Police suspect heroin addiction could be the motive behind the crime.
